# Gang Conflict Rules

## Conflict Limit: 10v10 Max <a href="#conflict-limit-10v10-max" id="conflict-limit-10v10-max"></a>

Gang conflicts are capped at 10 players per side.

* No hiding extras or rotating in backup
* Plan ahead and stick to your 10

## Weapon Restrictions <a href="#weapon-restrictions" id="weapon-restrictions"></a>

* Melee-only fights: Full 10v10 allowed
* If guns are used, Only 2 guns per side are allowed. The other 8 must use melee weapons (bats, blades, etc.)

Pulling extra guns is a serious rule break.

## Wars Must Be Declared in RP & Mediated <a href="#wars-must-be-declared-in-rp-and-mediated" id="wars-must-be-declared-in-rp-and-mediated"></a>

If you’re starting a war:

* It must be declared through proper in-character RP
* A sit-down meeting must happen, with a neutral mediator if needed
* Rules of the war (turf, weapons, timeframes) must be clearly agreed IC
* The meeting must be recorded (clip or text log)

Both sides are expected to follow all agreed terms

## Conflict Must Be Justified Through RP <a href="#conflict-must-be-justified-through-rp" id="conflict-must-be-justified-through-rp"></a>

Violence needs a reason.

* Make sure there's a clear initiation before engaging in conflict, i.e. face-to-face, in a meeting, over text/call
* Build tension through disrespect, betrayal, or long-standing issues
* No jumping straight into shootouts with no story
* Senseless violence = rule break

## Dead Body Camping <a href="#dead-body-camping" id="dead-body-camping"></a>

* You cannot camp somebody's body when you have killed them. You must allow the RP for everyone in the city to continue. i.e. EMS turning up to try and save them after you put them into Stage 2

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doj.secondliferp.com/second-life-rp/gang-rules/gang-conflict-rules.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
