# General Gang Conduct

## Serious Roleplay Is Required <a href="#serious-roleplay-is-required" id="serious-roleplay-is-required"></a>

Gang RP must be believable and consistent. No troll behaviour, meme RP, or throwaway characters. Gangs are expected to lead by example.

## Whitelisted Gangs Are Earned, Not Claimed <a href="#whitelisted-gangs-are-earned-not-claimed" id="whitelisted-gangs-are-earned-not-claimed"></a>

Whitelisting is granted through:

• Strong and consistent RP

• Positive impact on the wider city

• Light to no rule breaks

• Good leadership and structure

The final decision is made by KP (Kingpin/server leadership).

Whitelisted gangs may be allowed more than 10 members, but conflict rules (10 max in fights) still apply.

## Minimum of 6 Members to Form a Gang <a href="#minimum-of-6-members-to-form-a-gang" id="minimum-of-6-members-to-form-a-gang"></a>

Your group must have at least six active members to be recognised as a gang. Gangs with fewer than 6 can still run as a small-time gang/crew, but won’t be granted gang permissions.

## Runners Can’t Be Involved in Conflict <a href="#runners-cant-be-involved-in-conflict" id="runners-cant-be-involved-in-conflict"></a>

Only 10 named core members are permitted to participate in conflicts.

Runners or low-level affiliates may assist with RP tasks (deliveries, lookouts, etc.), but cannot take part in combat or gang-on-gang violence.

## Gang Identity Required <a href="#gang-identity-required" id="gang-identity-required"></a>

All gangs must have a clear and consistent identity. Whether it’s colours, outfits, chains, or symbols, people should know who you are. No dressing like rival gangs or emergency services.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doj.secondliferp.com/second-life-rp/gang-rules/general-gang-conduct.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
